What I Don’t Like About the Varidesk Pro Plus 36
Nothing is perfect and this desk is no different.
One thing I don’t like about it is that the two tiers of fixed together. In other words, you can’t adjust one tier without the other.
Not everyone likes their screen and monitor at the same fixed position. Its like driving someone else’s car. Sometimes you hop in and the staring wheel and chair are an ok fit but other times you might hop in and the configuration just don’t work!
Another thing that I’ve seen people mention that isn’t a big deal to me is that the keyboard tray doesn’t tilt. But it goes back to what I was saying about personal configuration preferences.
It just depends on everyone’s unique tastes whether either of these is a big deal or not.

The Varidesk looks like a really cool and innovative idea, the way you can adjust the height. I like standing desks, as sometimes I really hate sitting in front of a computer for hours. It hurts my back and I get bad posture.
I actually feel more energetic and productive when I’m standing, but I also like having the option of being seated as well.
If I use the Varidesk, can I sit and stand with it, or is it just for standing only?

With your review, and as you point out, the amazon reviews, it seem to be a good product. One of the things I was concerned about was its durability, anything that is adjustable is prone to problems after a while, do you know if there have been any issues with that?

Just standing won’t alleviate half the ailments on the list but the desk works wonders for people with leg and back pain from poor circulation. The desk also alleviates some of the issues we have seen with digital media presentations where often a second person is needed to adjust or re-enter presentations without serious interruptions.
I like the fact you can raise the desk if you are like me with back and neck issues and continue working until you need to sit down at the same desk. My only question is if the extra 4.5 inches in height when collapsed will make desk typing more difficult for those with carpal tunnel?

Thanks for your comment and sharing your thoughts. The point of an adjustable standing desk isn’t to alleviate ailments but instead it does a lot to PREVENT them or aid in preventing them from occurring in the first place.
I have to admit that I’m not all that familiar with carpal tunnel but IÂ will research in time and let you know how this may work in this situation. If you can give me more information that might be helpful as well.
